Intensive awareness programme was launched two months back for the residents of the area who will be using the toilet. The residents have also been visiting the toilets during construction stage.

An exposure visit was arranged for them to the Sanitary Women Complex in Trichy to have first hand information of the method by which the SHG where maintaining the complex. The Community Toilet is a pay and use facility and is maintained by the SHGs. About 100 persons are using the same every day. A separate western type ECOSAN Compost Toilet has been constructed in the campus for the benefit of the aged and handicapped.
