Implementationof research for using urine as liquid fertilizer
The urine is used for raising banana and herbal plants.
Urine filtered through a filter bed and a charcoal bed is collected (300 liters per week) form ECCT and is used in the research field of paddy crop (so far two paddy crops harvested and research study is going on in the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University at Coimbatore) and the research of using urine for banana by dripping method is also under taken by the National Research Center for Banana, Trichy with the funding support of UNICEF, SEI Stockholm.
Horticulture and vegetables research is undertaken by the Tamilnadu Agricultural University with the support of DDWS, Government of India.
